We recently visited two historic man-caves, “Hildene”, the Lincoln Family home and hang-out for their son, Robert Todd Lincoln. There he enjoyed gentleman farming, gardening, added bonus: his wife even had chickens. Note the photo of the metal box she used to ship 3 dozen eggs through the mail.
The other historic man-cave is Norman Rockwell’s studio in Stockbridge, MA. This was moved onto the property in the Berkshires where the Rockwell Museum is located. He is one of my favorite illustrators.
Maybe the word man-cave is a stretch….neither one had a large flat screen TV, still a man-cave none the less.
