Barns Studies and Rustics

These are my small-scale series called "Barn Studies" and “Rustics”.
This series features the simplicity of details most often overlooked if viewed in full scale. Handcrafted details, weathered timbers, marks left by old farm tools or simple bits of nature add their own beauty to each individual old structure. This is a way to appreciate their beauty in a small scale. The Barn Study pieces are about 5" x 7" in size, framed in barn board to approximately 8" x 10".  The Rustic pieces are about 3 ½” x 5” framed to approximately 5”x7”.
